Barbed.ai — SMS Program

Barbed.ai, operated by Barbed.ai LLC, sends fishing and hunting guides transactional SMS messages including login verification codes, booking confirmations, payment requests, trip reminders, schedule alerts, and client messages. No marketing messages are sent.

Guides opt in by entering their mobile number and agreeing to receive automated text messages from Barbed.ai LLC when they sign in at barbed.ai/login. Message frequency varies, up to 10 msgs/month. What You're Signing Up For

By texting a Barbed guide phone number, you consent to receive and send text messages related to fishing and hunting trip bookings. Messages may include:

  • Trip availability and booking confirmations
  • Payment requests and confirmations
  • Trip details, meeting points, and instructions
  • Trip reminders and schedule updates
  • Responses to your questions about trips

How to Opt In

Guides opt in during account onboarding, at the phone-verification step. There, a guide provides their mobile phone number alongside explicit consent language disclosing the types of messages sent, message frequency, data rates, and opt-out instructions, then verifies the number with a one-time code. Providing a phone number is optional — Barbed is fully usable over email — and consent is never a condition of account creation, booking, or any purchase.

Clients opt in by texting a guide's published Barbed phone number to inquire about or book a trip. Client messaging is consumer-initiated — we do not send unsolicited messages to anyone who has not first contacted a guide.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your booking activity and conversations with guides, up to approximately 10 messages per month. You may receive multiple messages per interaction when booking a trip or asking questions.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive texts from that guide's Barbed number. You may still text the number again in the future to resume messaging.
